The arts are an integral part of education at Simba International School. Our comprehensive arts program nurtures creativity, self-expression, cultural appreciation, and technical skills across visual arts, music, and drama.

Visual Arts

Our visual arts program develops technical skills, creative thinking, and artistic expression through a variety of media and techniques:

Primary School

Young artists explore a wide range of materials and techniques while developing fundamental art skills, creative confidence, and appreciation for diverse artistic traditions.

Secondary School

Students refine their technical skills, develop their unique artistic voice, and build a portfolio of work. IGCSE and A-Level Art & Design courses are available for specialized study.

Music

Our music program develops musical literacy, performance skills, and appreciation for diverse musical traditions:

Primary School

Young musicians develop fundamental skills in rhythm, melody, and harmony through singing, movement, and playing classroom instruments. All students learn recorder and are introduced to basic music theory.

Secondary School

Students deepen their musical understanding through performance, composition, and analysis. IGCSE and A-Level Music courses are available for specialized study.

Individual Lessons

Private instrumental and vocal lessons are available for an additional fee. Instruments offered include piano, violin, guitar, drums, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and voice.

Drama

Our drama program develops performance skills, confidence, and creative expression through a variety of theatrical experiences:

Primary School

Young performers develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills through drama games, role play, and class performances. Each year level presents a class assembly with dramatic elements.

Secondary School

Students explore various theatrical styles and techniques while developing performance and production skills. IGCSE and A-Level Drama courses are available for specialized study.

Annual Performances & Exhibitions

Throughout the year, we showcase student work and talent through various performances and exhibitions:

Winter Concert (Term 1 (December))

A showcase of instrumental and vocal performances featuring students from all grade levels.

School Musical (Term 2 (March))

A full-scale musical production involving actors, singers, musicians, dancers, and technical crew.

Art Exhibition (Term 3 (June))

A display of student artwork from throughout the year, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and digital art.

Cultural Arts Festival (Term 3 (July))

A week-long celebration of the arts featuring performances, workshops, and guest artists.

Arts Facilities

Our campus features dedicated spaces for arts education and performance:

  • Visual Arts Studios: Specialized spaces for drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and digital arts
  • Music Rooms: Soundproofed rehearsal spaces, practice rooms, and a recording studio
  • Auditorium: 300-seat performance space with professional lighting and sound systems
  • Black Box Theater: Flexible performance space for smaller productions and drama classes
  • Gallery Space: Professional exhibition area for student artwork and visiting exhibitions
