Credit Transfer & Curriculum Alignment
We recognize that transfer students come from diverse educational backgrounds and curricula. Our academic team carefully reviews each student's previous coursework to ensure appropriate placement and credit transfer.
Primary School (Years 1-6)
For primary students, we focus on assessing core skills in literacy and numeracy to ensure appropriate grade placement. Our teachers work closely with new students to address any gaps and build on existing strengths.
Secondary School (Years 7-13)
For secondary students, we align previous coursework with our Cambridge curriculum. Special attention is given to students transferring during examination years (IGCSE or A-Level) to ensure continuity in their academic program.

We understand that joining a new school community involves both academic and social adjustments. Our comprehensive transition support program includes:
Buddy System
Each new student is paired with a peer buddy who helps them navigate the school, make friends, and feel welcome.
Orientation Program
Comprehensive orientation to familiarize students and parents with school routines, expectations, and resources.
Counselor Check-ins
Regular meetings with school counselors to monitor adjustment and address any concerns.
Academic Monitoring

Transfer Student Experiences
"Transferring to Simba International School in Year 10 was initially daunting, especially in the middle of the IGCSE program. The academic team worked closely with me to ensure I could continue with my chosen subjects, and the transition support made me feel welcome from day one. The buddy system was particularly helpful in helping me navigate the school and make friends quickly."
— David M., transferred from Kenya in Year 10
"As a parent, I was concerned about my daughter changing schools in the middle of the academic year. The admissions team at Simba was incredibly supportive throughout the process, and the teachers went above and beyond to help her catch up on any missed curriculum. Within weeks, she felt like she had always been part of the Simba community."
