Admissions

What is the application process?

The application process includes submitting an online application form, providing academic records and recommendations, completing assessments, and participating in a family interview. For detailed information, please visit our Application Process page.

When should we apply?

While we accept applications throughout the year, we recommend applying by February 15 for the August start and by October 15 for the January start to ensure priority consideration.

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

Yes, we offer merit-based scholarships for academic excellence, leadership, arts, sports, and community service. Please visit our Scholarships page for more information.

What are the entry requirements?

Entry requirements include age-appropriate academic readiness, English language proficiency, and alignment with our school values. Each applicant is considered individually based on their unique strengths and potential.

Academics

What curriculum do you follow?

We follow the Cambridge International Curriculum from Early Years through Secondary School, culminating in IGCSE (Years 10-11) and A-Level (Years 12-13) qualifications.

What languages do you offer?

In addition to English, we offer French and Spanish as second languages from Year 1 onwards. In Secondary School, students can also choose to study Kiswahili.

How do you support students with different learning needs?

Our Learning Support Department provides targeted interventions for students who need additional support or challenge. We develop Individual Learning Plans and offer in-class and pull-out support as needed.

What are your class sizes?

Our maximum class sizes are 16 students in Early Years, 20 students in Primary, and 22 students in Secondary, ensuring personalized attention for each student.

School Life

What are the school hours?

School hours are 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM for Early Years and Primary, and 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM for Secondary. After-school activities run until 5:00 PM.

Do you provide lunch?

Yes, we offer a nutritious lunch program with options for different dietary requirements. Students may also bring packed lunches from home.

What extracurricular activities do you offer?

We offer a wide range of activities including sports, arts, music, clubs, and community service. Students select new activities each term based on their interests.

Is transportation available?

Yes, we provide bus transportation to and from school for an additional fee. Routes cover major residential areas in Ndola, Kitwe, and Luanshya.

International Students

Do international students need a visa?

Yes, international students require a student visa to study in Zambia. Our Admissions Office provides the necessary documentation to support the visa application process once a student is accepted.

Is boarding available?

Yes, we offer boarding for students in Years 7-13. Our Tau House boarding residence provides a safe, supportive home away from home with full-time residential staff.

What support is available for non-English speakers?

We offer English as an Additional Language (EAL) support for students who are not yet fluent in English. Our specialized EAL teachers work with students both in and out of the classroom.

How do you help international students adjust?

We provide a comprehensive orientation program, buddy system, cultural adjustment support, and regular check-ins with our international student coordinator.
